Transfer Call

Use the RingQ API Web Hook to programmatically transfer an active call from one extension to another — automate call routing from your CRM or supervisor dashboard.

The Transfer Call web hook instructs RingQ to perform a blind transfer on an active call — moving it from the current extension to a destination extension or number without an announcement.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, you need your API Key from the RingQ admin dashboard.

1. Log in to the RingQ admin dashboard.
2. Go to Settings → API.
3. Copy the API Key shown on this page. You will use it in every web hook URL.

API URL Format

https://{your-ringq-domain}/api/v2/{api-key}/transfercall/{extension}/{destination}

Parameter	Description
your-ringq-domain	The domain or IP address of your RingQ instance (e.g. pbx.yourdomain.com).
api-key	Your API key from Settings → API.
extension	The extension that currently has the active call to be transferred.
destination	The extension or number to transfer the call to.

Example

To transfer the active call on extension 101 to extension 200 (a queue or another agent):

https://pbx.yourdomain.com/api/v2/abc123xyz/transfercall/101/200

RingQ will perform a blind transfer — the caller on extension 101 is immediately moved to extension 200.

Response

A successful request returns HTTP 200 with a JSON body:

Use Transfer Call in supervisor dashboards to re-route calls in real time without requiring the agent to do anything — ideal for escalations or skills-based overflow.
